I was very excited to see my first movie screening. I didn't go expecting too much, and thank goodness.
While John Krasinski delivers a number of memorably funny lines, he is unable to rescue this movie from 100lbs of cheesyness. With a little tweaking this highly predictable movie could have been a fun parody of romantic clichés. Instead, the movie tries to make the relationship between Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwinn) and Dex (Colin Egglesfield) "complicated" with Rachel breaking girl code and having a fling with your bf's fiancé. frequent flashbacks, occasional slow motion, confessions in the rain, kissing in the middle of the street, romantic strole on the beach, topped off with less than stellar acting...at least it wasn't in 3D.
